克劳德·布拉瑟（Claude Brasseur）出生于塞纳河畔讷伊（Neuilly-sur-Seine），原名克劳德·皮埃尔·埃斯皮纳斯（Claude Pierre Espinasse），是演员皮埃尔·布拉瑟（Pierre Brasseur）和女演员奥黛特·乔伊（Odette Joyeux）的儿子。他是欧内斯特·海明威的教子，也是亚历山大·布拉瑟的父亲。

他是 60 年代法国雪橇队的成员，也是巴黎-达喀尔拉力赛的冠军选手，担任 Jacky Ickx 的副驾驶。

从 1950 年代后期到他去世前两年，布拉瑟总共出演了 150 部电影和电视作品。他的电影角色之一是在让-吕克·戈达尔（Jean-Luc Godard）的《Bande à part》（1964）中饰演亚瑟。布拉瑟在 1970 年代初的历史犯罪电视连续剧《维多克的新冒险》中扮演主角。喜剧片《La Boum》（1980年）和《La Boum 2》（1982年）取得了巨大的商业成功，他在剧中扮演了苏菲·玛索（Sophie Marceau）青少年角色的父亲。

他于2020年12月22日去世，享年84岁。
