Denis Simpson was born on November 4, 1950 in Jamaica. He was the original bass vocalist for The Nylons 1978-1979. Simpson left the Nylons before they became internationally popular as an a cappella act as he got a part in the Broadway musical \'Indigo\'. Simpson has composed for many television programs. Most notably he wrote the theme song for the children\'s program, \'Tell A Tale Town\'. He died on October 22, 2010 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
