作为一名演员，埃文曾主演或联合主演过各种影视项目，包括《比佛利山庄的落魄》和电视连续剧《比尔和泰德的奇妙冒险》。作为一名电影制片人，埃文的短片《女人X》入围了英国电影学院奖，并在HBO和Starz上播出。他编剧并主演的另一部短片《九霄云外》入围了 Skky 伏特加短片节决赛，并在 HBO 上播出。他作为编剧/导演的处女作《一天》参加了许多电影节并获得了各种奖项。在洛杉矶的影院上映后，《一天》被IFC Films选中发行。它还销往世界各地。
