Ian Durkin is a Brooklyn-based director and the lead curator at Vimeo. His short film The Secret of Bottom Turn Island (Mountainfilm 2020) follows snowboarder Alex Yoder’s search for the lost art of \"snow-surfing,\" while Camel Finds Water (Mountainfilm 2020), tracks one man’s quest to transform a run-down boat into something mighty enough to tackle the cold waters of British Columbia. With a boat named Camel — meaning it’ll take on water — the trip seems doomed from the start. But the travelers are so optimistic, and the film’s music so fun, you can’t help but hope for the best for the mighty Camel.
