Isamu Imakake (今掛勇, Imakake Isamu, April 22, 1968) is an animator, animation director, character and mechanical designer, and anime director. He is from Kagoshima prefecture. He became widely known for his Cowboy Bebop set design. He has been a freelancer in Gainax since 1988 and has been active in manga, book covers and illustrations in the past. He is currently a director of animated theatrical works, an animation director, and character designer.
