Jeroen van de Bovenkamp is a documentary filmmaker and co-founder of the film studio Studio Must Kieke in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. His work focuses on capturing real stories, portraying people and their environments in an honest and engaged way, with the aim of making the viewer feel as if they are right there beside them. His films are often driven by a sense of adventure and curiosity, with a strong emphasis on experience, atmosphere, and music. He frequently collaborates with music artist Tristan Visser on documentary projects, including Arctic Mirage: Echo from the North, Onderwater, and Tuning In. In addition, he is a lecturer in the Film and Video Maker program at MBO Firda, where he guides students in areas such as camera technique and editing.
